We use email to keep our members who have e-addresses advised of various goings-on, but we know we miss a lot of people who do not have email. This quarterly newsletter will be mailed to members and everyone else who has expressed interest in our Humane Society since we formed in 2003. It will also be available at the Block One Flea Market and various other businesses for anyone to pick up.
Help us name our Newsletter. Mail or email suggestions to us! We’ve considered “The Mews” and “ The Latest Poop.”
Another rummage store in Boerne, Texas....
The Hill Country Animal League runs this store to raise money for their spay/neuter assistance program, education programs, and rescue efforts by their foster volunteers. Their web site states: “It allows an opportunity for the community to donate and provides a low-cost shopping venue for people who have limited income and bargain hunters.”
We won’t even tell you how much money we’ve heard this thrift store raises each year! We may not be in the pricey Hill Country, but WE CAN DO IT!! We already receive more resale items than we have room to display at our Block One Flea Market booth.
Don’t forget! We accept donated items at the flea market and can pick up items if necessary. If we can’t use it, we offer it to other worthy organizations in town that help the needy.
We will be able to store and sort items in our new building. Then we can separate, by size, summer clothes from winter clothes, men’s clothes from women’s and baby clothes. Housewares, furniture, etc. can be arranged for easy viewing.
We are so excited about the idea of having a real store! We haven’t set the days and hours we will be open yet, but we hope you will be thinking of the time you might be able to set aside to volunteer at the shop once a week or once a month.

B.W. is a great hit with his new family in Glen Cove! We wonder if he will be passed on to the granddaughter as planned?!
Dolly had some anxiety issues when she was adopted by an Azle family, but they worked through them!
Oliver is at home in Dallas, and he has let us know that life is good!
Plan to bake a goodie. Talk to Sue or Linda at 625-3743. We made $300 on our last sale, but quickly ran out of items to sell!
